The Christian and Family Messes During the Holidays

Speaker: Pat Buttes | Category: Christian Living
Series: Topical

Like the song says, "It's the most wonderful time of the year." And so it is, it truly is except for the inevitable family messes to which all families are vulnerable during the Thanksgiving and Christmas season. The causes abound, hurt feelings, ongoing conflicts, unforgiveness, unresolved childhood wounds, and so many more reasons. If your life is free from all the above you life is exceptional. But for the majority of us, this study will examine specific Bible passages which shed light on the family messes that might be around the corner. If we prepare now, we can caught the enemy off guard. No, I don't mean the messy family member although we will talk about them also. Rather, there are spiritual forces at work which seek to destroy and ruin your family (I Peter 5.8). Let's prepare for the most wonderful time of the year and see if with God's help we can slam the front door on the most ancient of foes. In the end, I pray that when the Devil plans his attack on our families this season that he doesn't pause and say, "Wow, this way too easy," Let's give him a fight!
