My Three Atheists Friends

Speaker: Pat Buttes | Category: Apologetics
Series: Topical

Over my lifetime, three men who were professed atheists have been significant to me. My friendship with them has deepened my maturity with God and yet broken my heart all at the same time. Chances are that you all have those in your lives who want no part of God. But some cross a certain kind of line when they move from agnosticism to atheism. In this study I would like to discuss atheism in light of these three significant relationships in my life. Together they have spanned most of my life.

14:1   The fool says in his heart, “There is no God.”
    They are corrupt, they do abominable deeds;
    there is none who does good.

2 Timothy 3:4 (Listen)

treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,

Proverbs 1:7 (Listen)

  The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge;
    fools despise wisdom and instruction.
